We're happy to announce that Payara Platform Enterprise 5.21.2 (request here) Edition is out today!
The Payara Platform Enterprise release for September is a patch release, ensuring the continued security and stability of your environment with 12 bug fixes and a security improvement.
The Payara Eclipse tool v1.1.0 has also been released to the Payara Enterprise repository and Eclipse Marketplace with few bug fixes and improvements.
HTTP/2 Support for JDK Native ALPN APIs Removed from Payara Enterprise Distributions
In Payara Enterprise 5.21 (released in July), we added HTTP/2 support for JDK Native ALPN APIs. Unfortunately, we determined it has the potential for becoming unstable in certain situations. To maintain security and stability for all Enterprise customers under any situation - we've removed it from our Enterprise Editions until it's matured further. Reverting HTTP/2 support to the previous version means it will currently not work when using JDK 8u252 or higher (including JDK 11).
You may continue to use HTTP/2 when using an older supported version of JDK 8 (8u162-8u242). We will re-add HTTP/2 support for JDK Native ALPN APIs to Payara Enterprise in a future release after it’s deemed stable.
