The Jakarta EE Media and Community Challenge initiated by Payara celebrates the innovation and creativity that thrives within the Jakarta EE community. This global competition invited developers, technical writers and technology enthusiasts to share technical content that educates, inspires and fosters collaboration within the Jakarta EE community.
After unveiling the impressive 4th, 3rd and 2nd place winners, the moment we've all been waiting for has arrived—it's time to announce the 1st prize winner!
Drumroll, please...
Congratulations to Hidekazu Kubota for winning this competition with the outstanding entry "Jakarta MVC Tutorial for Beginners."
Hidekazu clinched the top spot with his series of articles, offering a comprehensive guide that unpacks the Model-View-Controller (MVC) framework in four well-structured, beginner-friendly articles. The "Jakarta MVC Tutorial for Beginners" series consists of four parts:
Part 1: Learn how to get started with Jakarta MVC
Part 2: Routing, Database, and Authentication
Part 3: Authorization, Error Handling, and CSRF/XSS Protection
Part 4: Data Model, Validation, Data Binding, and Logging
Our judges found the content easy to read, even for a non-technical audience, due to a good structure and sentence composition. The instructions and well-formatted code samples were easy to follow. Finally, the images and illustrations worked well to add further life to the text. It's clear that a substantial amount of work has gone into the production of these articles" Well done, Hidekazu!
Stay tuned for more initiatives celebrating the incredible talents within the Jakarta EE community!
