Did You Know?

Payara Server and Payara Micro Provide Support for Yubikey

Yubikey is a USB hardware authentication device created by Yubico. It generates one time passwords based on FIDO public/private key pairs. It is most commonly combined with the usual username and password to create two Factor Authentication (2FA).
Since the Payara Platform 5.182 and 4.1.2.183 a Yubikey identity store based on the latest Java EE 8 Security API exists. Accompanying the YubikeyIdentityStore is a TwoIdentityStoreAuthenticationMechanism. This follows the same style as Java EE 8 Security API's CustomFormAuthenticationMechanism. The mechanism is also compatible with any two identity stores, not just the Yubikey Identity Store.

Find out more about the Yubikey Identity Store and the Two Identity Store Authentication Mechanism in our documentation:
