Did You Know? Payara Server 4 and Payara Micro 4 are Entering Maintenance Mode
Published on 10 Jan 2019
by Mark WarehamMaintenance mode is the stage of the product lifecycle where we're no longer releasing new features for Payara Server 4 or Payara Micro 4, releases will only contain bug fixes.
You may be using Payara Server 5 or Payara Micro 5, in which case this doesn't apply to you. However, if you are using the Payara Platform 4 as a support customer - then do not worry - we are still providing bug fixes to our support customers. If you're not a support customer and want to continue receiving updates you'll need to purchase support (or upgrade to Payara Server 5 or Payara Micro 5).
It's worth noting that Oracle JDK7 and JDK8 are in a stage of "premier support". As a Payara support customer (Payara Enterprise or Payara Migration & Project Support) you also get access to Azul Systems' Zulu JDK support, which helps you save as you receive two support packages for the price of one.
Maintenance mode continues to quarter 1 2021. For more information, see our support lifecycle
Note that Payara Server 5 and Payara Micro 5 are still in full support (receives new features, bug fixes)
